N2 - This chapter is concerned with actions in tort in relation to the wrongful interference with goods. It should be noted, however, that there is no common law tort of wrongful interference with goods. The term comes from the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 which makes substantial amendments to the law relating to the common law torts dealing with the intentional interference with goods; namely trespass, detinue and conversion (or trover).
