Abstract
A cheat pretends to be what they are not, and deceives to maintain the false façade. When it comes to their environmental obligations they do not carry out even their legally binding commitments, and they try to hide this by misleading others. Bluntly, their country cheats the international community as well as their citizens when it comes to their environmental promises.
This inflammatory accusation can be justified by evidence, for readers to judge. To be true to their self-perception that Australians and their governments have integrity, they should consider what they can do to become more trust-worthy stewards of their priceless biodiversity.
