Abstract
This report explores the key knowledge and capabilities required by academic developers in Australasian higher education. Drawing on discussions from the CAULLT Academic Development Day, it highlights the evolving role of academic developers in supporting teaching and learning innovation, staff capability building, and institutional change. The report emphasises the importance of adaptive expertise, collaboration, and evidence-informed practice in responding to contemporary challenges in higher education.
