Abstract

The vegetation communities of the Warrego River Western Floodplain (Western Floodplain) are dominated by stands of coolibah (Eucalyptus coolabah) and black box (Eucalyptus largiflorens), lignum (Duma florulenta) and a range of chenopod and other herbaceous species that have adapted to both long dry periods and prolonged periods of inundation (Gowans et al. 2012).
