Abstract
Two with Nature is a book of poetry and illustration fusing words and images to stimulate new ways of understanding the plant world. Focused on the floristic diversity of the south-west region of Western Australia, the book thematises the interactions between visual art, poetry, and science that can invigorate greater appreciation of the botanical heritage of Australia. As the outcome of a collaboration between poet John Ryan and artist Ellen Hickman, Two with Nature contributes to the interdisciplinary field of environmental humanities as a creative intervention into Western Australian plant conservation and education.
