Abstract

The use of sorghum grain in poultry feed is a relatively new practice in Australia, most probably due to the presence of tannin in previous unimproved varieties. Currently most Australian grown sorghums are tannin-free (Walker, 1999). There are reports that sorghum grain can be used as a grain source without compromising the chicken's performance (Macari et al., 2008). This study investigated the response of broiler chickens on sorghum-based diets with or without enzyme supplementation.
