Abstract

Theatre production is a resource hungry activity. Some might say that given the environmental challenges we face that it is a frivolous activity that should be abandoned to save those precious resources for more important work. Sydney Theatre Company faced up to that challenge by setting a vision to green theatre in late 2007 and underwent a major transformation of how it produced theatre, achieving a major cultural change in the process.
