Abstract
Collectively, Faugues's compositional artistry is preserved on 234 pages spread across seven sources which are concentrated to the cities of Trent, Modena, Perugia and Rome. His masses provide a vibrant palette of architectural form and musical structure that well places Faugues as one of the leading figures of innovation in the developing type of composition we call the cyclic mass.
