Abstract

This brand new Australian text and accompanying website teach students how to build financial models in Excel. Students are given step-by-step examples so that they can build models themselves (active learning). Guidance is also provided for the active learning of spreadsheet modelling and Excel skills development, as students create their own models. The chapters cover a range of key finance concepts taught in investments courses, from introductory to more advanced concepts. A chapter is also devoted to personal financial planning. No prior knowledge of Excel functions or advanced features is assumed.
