Abstract
The article 'Evolution and Complementarity? Traditional and Complementary Medicine as Part of the International Human Rights Law Right to Health' is an exploration of international human rights treaties and declarations to determine whether Traditional and Complementary Medicine ('T&CM') was included as part of the Right to Health. The Right to Health comes from Article 12 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Article 12(1) states: 'The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.'
