Abstract

This volume reports on the results of one season of excavation at the site of Tol-e Baši in the Kur River Basin (KRB), Fars Province, Iran, in May-June 2003. Although the excavations by the joint Iranian-American team were brief, incorporating less than one month of digging, it is a testament to their meticulous recording and sampling methodologies and a wealth of post-excavation analyses that the results can fill a monograph over 300 pages in length. Happily, 'Tol-e Baši' also maintains the admirable standards of quality and presentation seen in previous volumes of the 'Archaölogie in Iran und Turan' series, incorporating abundant line drawings, greyscale and colour images that support and enhance the technical analyses of stratigraphy and material remains.
