Abstract

In this session the Co-Editors will outline the submission process, the range of topics published in HERD, the topics currently of interest, special issues, the process and criteria employed for the initial screening of manuscripts, the criteria sent to reviewers and the process and time involved, the process involved in deciding acceptance, resubmission or rejection of papers, the percentage of papers accepted, the common reasons for rejection of manuscripts, the final editorial processing of papers, communication with and feedback to authors. The expansion of the journal to 6 editions per volume, the move to electronic management, and the future listing in the ISI will also be discussed.
