Abstract

I had recently offered a lecture on animals in children's film, and decided to work up an article on pigs in the cinema - well, not actually in the cinema - but on the big screen. I wanted to consider a selection of "family" feature films, and the familiar blind spot between the affectionate pig tales produced in the cut and splice of the editing suite, and those rendered in the slicing and dicing at the delicatessen.
