Perry Descendants in Australia: Perry/​Nivison and Marlay/​Deloitte families

When I wrote the story of my ancestors, Samuel Augustus Perry and his wife, Caroline Johnson, in Perry-Soldier and Surveyor, I was aware that his many descendants might be disappointed that their family link was not shown in the book. My reason for not doing so was that more than two hundred years separate Samuel and Caroline from present generations, who now number almost two thousand people, so a diagram or family tree would have been enormous. It was obvious that the sheer number of descendants would overwhelm the story of this interesting couple who brought us to Australia. However, my grandchildren - and many of the younger generations - may be curious to know who their ancestors were; why and how they came to Australia, and what our connection is with these early British pioneers. For that reason I have put together this incomplete collection of family lists, and hope that it may, if not answer questions, at least be a starting point to find the links between a large number of families in Australia and other parts of the world.
