Abstract
In October 1984, Senator the Hon. Susan Ryan, the then Minister for Education, announced the appointment of a Committee - V. K. Daniels (Chairperson), B.H. Bennett and H. McQueen - to review Australian Studies in tertiary education, with the requirement that it review the provision of Australian studies in tertiary education institutions including universities, colleges of advanced education and TAFE. The Committee was also asked to make recommendations for possible development of Australian studies in tertiary education. In June last the report itself was issued in a bulky yet readable format.
