Abstract
A new, flexible undergraduate nursing course at the University of New England is set to revolutionise the way nursing awards are structured in Australia. UNE's nursing course team designed this innovative undergraduate curriculum to offer two achievement choices. The first allows candidates to undertake two years of study and exit with an Advanced Diploma in Nursing, which makes them eligible to register with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board (NSW NMB) as enrolled nurses. The second choice allows them to complete a third year of study and to graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing, qualifying them to work as registered nurses.
