Abstract
We thank Duke, Chapman and Levine for their commentary on our recent meta-analysis. The commentary highlights the value of scientific rigour specific to altitude training (e.g., the necessity for sea-level controls and training camp effects). We wish to illustrate, in our opinion, there are three considerations to the conclusions Duke et al. provided.
