    Abstract

The use of information technology for aiding management of Australian livestock is increasing. However a gap exists between the potential perceived by technology developers and the on-farm benefits achieved by farmers in practice. In this paper the learning and farm system adaptation challenges faced by farmers using precision technologies in three livestock industry case studies are outlined.
