Abstract
Key Issues: • The current research foundation in community children's nursing. • Analysis of specific research studies and their relative findings. • Indications for future research opportunities in community children's nursing. ... Research into community children's nursing is a relatively new phenomenon. The research that has been undertaken has tended not to include the children themselves. This is a challenge that all children's nursing researchers need to take on if research into the practice of community children's nursing is to develop: balancing the needs of children with those of their primary carer(s).
