In this book Colwell explores and responds to the interesting question of whether there is a distinctive Christian ethical system. And should such a distinctive conceptual framework exist, on what philosophical foundations might it be based? Colwell believes that Christianity provides a unique system for acting ethically in the modem world and sets out to demonstrate the nature and content of the system. The book is well-written and scholarly (in the right sense) and Colwell does an excellent job of setting out the central issues.
