Abstract
<p>In this report, the findings of pilot research on Multicultural Police Liaison Officer (MCLO) programs in New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland (QLD) are put forward.</p>
<p>The objectives of the research were to:
<ul><li>Examine the roles of MCLOs in NSW and Queensland;</lI>
<li>Uncover the interactions between MCLOs, community members and sworn officers;</li>
<li>Note the challenges that MCLOs experience in their roles; and</li>
<li>Identify how MCLO roles can be improved.</li></ul></p>
<p>The research was undertaken independently of the QPS, NSWPF and participating community organisations.</p>
