Giving Muslim children a sense of belonging in early childhood environments

Australia is a highly multicultural country that values its many cultures. We actively encourage immigrants to retain elements of their home country - linguistically, culturally and in terms of religious faith. A variety of faiths, including Islam, are practised by people from many different ethnic groups. Since the first Muslim immigrants made their home here in the nineteenth century, people from Muslim backgrounds have been active community members and built mosques and schools for their children.
