Abstract
Welcome to the first issue of the Journal of Turkish Science Education for 2011 (Volume 8). It is very encouraging to note that while most of the authors are from Turkey, five other nations are represented amongst the contributors giving this issue a very international flavour. This issue contains a total of ten articles that are extremely diverse in nature.
