Abstract
This essay locates the fifteenth-century Hussite movement within the late medieval world and draws attention to the implications of this new religious and social movement for the world of Central Europe especially that within the province of Bohemia. There is particular attention paid to the Hussite Crusade, the establishment of the community at Tabor, the role of women, the "four articles of Prague," and the outcome of the revolution on Czech society.
