Abstract

One of the most important tasks that the teacher of senior school history undertakes is the production of study units. For any teaching/ learning arrangement to work effectively the component parts must have a harmony and interdependence which will ensure that students acquire the learning and skills which the teacher intended, In this short paper some of the more fundamental aspects of unit design are considered, albeit rather briefly, in the hope that a simple formula of procedures will make unit writing both easier and more successful.
