Abstract
This is a grant report of the Novartis Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia Pharmacoeconomics grant that I received to attend a workshop on cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) by the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York, UK. I provide a brief description of the workshop followed by practice implications for hospital pharmacists. Given the current interest in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) at a national and international level, an example of AMS is used to demonstrate practice implications CEA has within hospitals.
