Abstract

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is firmly dedicated to removing barriers to nurses delivering care in the community and enable funding and resources that will allow nurses to provide care for people in their homes and via telehealth. In March, ACN submitted a Statement of Action on Nursing Workforce Solutions in response to COVID-19 and supporting documentation to the Australian Government.
These documents were created by ACN’s COVID-19 Workforce Solutions Expert Advisory Group (EAG), which is composed of dedicated ACN Fellows and Members who have provided their expertise to contribute to this project. The EAG is working tirelessly in advocating for nursing workforce solutions which remove barriers and ensure community and primary health care nurses can optimally contribute to Australia’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
