Abstract
This conference was a culmination of several years of research under the auspices of the Law Commission of Canada (LCC) focusing on the complicated relationship between public police forces and private security agencies, and followed the publication of the LCC’s Discussion paper In Search of Security: The Roles of Public Police and Private Agencies. This note aims to give our readers a sense of the atmosphere of the conference, and to spark interest in the content and entice them to look at the abstracts, or papers when they are published.
