Abstract
This book has provided a detailed analysis of municipal reforms in each of the six Anglosphere countries during the 1980s and 1990s. With attention to the content of the national case studies and select other sources, the purposes of this chapter are threefold: to provide a comparative thematic overview of the determinants, goals and objectives, nature and scope, and effects of those reforms; to provide observations regarding the prospects for, and the nature and scope of, additional reforms; and to provide suggestions for further research within and beyond the Anglosphere.
