Case Study - Australian Law Postgraduate Network (ALPN)

The Australian Law Postgraduate Network (ALPN) was established predominantly to improve supervision and methodology within postgraduate research in law. The establishment of the network was funded by the Carrick Institute under the 2006 Leadership Grant. Low rates of postgraduate student enrolments, coupled with limited cross-institutional collaboration and narrow methodological considerations fuelled the development of the ALPN project, aimed at improving the quality of postgraduate research and supervision in law within Australia by increasing collaboration and resource sharing. The project seeks to achieve this goal through a number of mechanisms, which are our key project deliverables.
