Abstract

Although the term tool increasingly appears in creative arts therapy reports, it has gained a popularity and contemporary usage not indicated or recommended by the definition of the word. A tool is defined typically as an instrument that is used to perform a task, usually a task performed by the hand. Additionally, its etymology in old English means to “prepare for use” https://www.merriamwebster.com/dictionary/tool.
