Adding value to your farm products

Richard Stayner, Brendan Doyle

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterResearch

    Abstract

Value-adding offers a way for farmers to capture a greater share of the price consumers pay for food and fibre products. This is achieved by taking on tasks that are normally performed by processing and manufacturing businesses. The experiences of the 12 farmers and their families discussed in this chapter are often very different, yet there are common features that can provide lessons for others.
