Abstract

The article is the first of the series of three articles on the implementation of e-portfolio in Australian university programs. It first examines the recent higher education policy context wherein the 'employability' of university graduates has become the central policy concern for both Australian business and industries and the federal government. Then, the article situates the rise of e-portfolio in Australian universities in this particular policy context wherein universities implement e-portfolio as part of strategies to standardize learning outcomes and graduate attributes so as to enhance the employability of their graduates.
