The aim of this chapter is to present the main and secondary features of persons with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) according to current clinical definitions. The author intends to present a holistic view of ASC, addressing cognitive strengths and difficulties, and establish the view that ASC is not a deviation from typical development but a different cognitive processing style.
