Project Details
Description
This project investigated opportunities to improve the efficiency and productivity of South Australia’s agricultural sector by identifying the key practices, technologies, farm characteristics, and social and environmental factors that influence producer performance. The project aimed to develop an evidence-based framework for assessing technical efficiency and determining the interventions required to help producers make better use of existing resources and adopt more effective practices and technologies. The outcomes were designed to inform SARDI and PIRSA priorities in research and development, industry extension and AgTech, and to support the development of strategies that enhance the productivity, profitability, resilience and sustainability of South Australia’s primary industries.
