National Mapping of Commercial Macadamia Orchards in South Africa

Since 2022, SAMAC has engaged the Applied Agricultural Remote Sensing Centre (AARSC) to map all commercial macadamia orchards in South Africa, published as a spatial layer freely available in the Dashboard (https://arcg.is/1L1X900). The success of this outcome and the increasing growth of the South African industry has prompted the need to maintain and continue to update the baseline map. This project will support this to maintain the currency of the map, with complete update annually.
