Dr Parves Sultan joined the UNE Business School as a Senior Lecturer in 2025. Before that, he held senior academic and leadership roles at various Australian and international universities, including Central Queensland University and the University of Canberra. His leadership approach combines strategic decision-making with a strong emphasis on student experience and academic excellence. Alongside teaching, research, supervision, and mentorship, he is experienced in curriculum development, accreditation, course design, and international collaboration, aiming to enhance student learning through innovative teaching methods—both face-to-face and online—and by leveraging a global network.
Parves has received numerous awards for his teaching and research, including several Vice-Chancellor's Educator of the Year awards, Dean's Awards, and Best Paper and Highly Commended Paper Awards from ANZRSAI and BSSRC. He also earned the Research Excellence Award from the Emerald Literati Network. These awards highlight his commitment to academic excellence and student engagement. Parves has supervised over 7 PhD and Master's by Research students, as well as many Master's and Honours students, and is currently supervising PhD and MPhil students. His research funding has totalled A$291,602. Additionally, he regularly reviews theses, research articles from respected journals, books, and TEQSA & HEDI accreditation and registration documents.
Parves has extensive experience and teaches across multiple disciplines. He has developed, coordinated, and delivered more than 25 units and 8 courses at various universities and higher education institutions and received TEQSA accreditations as appropriate. At UNE Business School, he coordinates and teaches the following units.
