Biographical Details

Dr Jo Bird completed her PhD investigating children’s use of digital technologies in imaginative play. Currently, her research projects include exploring play-based coding for preschool children, the Early Childhood Defence Program that will provide online modules for parents and educators to support children from military families, play in primary schools and exploring early childhood placements. Her interests and teaching includes children’s use of digital technologies, supporting educators to provide technologies in their programs and children’s play.
