Biographical Details
Ivanah is a Lecturer in Soil Science and specialises in soil formation, classification and soil carbon. Ivanah joined UNE in 2015 when she commenced a PhD seeking to understand how the quantity, spatial distribution and stability of root carbon inputs influence the soil organic carbon pool. During this time, Ivanah undertook an APR internship with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, where she surveyed the Alpine Humus Soils of the Kosciuszko National Park.
Prior to joining UNE, Ivanah was a research soil scientist with the Victorian DPI working on several national projects including the Soil Carbon Research Program (SCaRP), National Soil Carbon Program (NSCP) and National Agricultural Nitrous Oxide Research Program (NANORP). Ivanah obtained a Bachelor of Ag (Hons) at Melbourne University in 2009.
