George Chen’s current teaching commitments include Introductory Macroeconomics, Energy Economics, and Economics of Development. Before his academic career, he worked as a quantitative analyst in investment banking. Drawing on this background, he has consistently integrated topical issues into his curriculum to enhance student learning and experience. Since joining UNE in 2010, his teaching excellence has been recognised with multiple Unit Monitoring Commendations. His research focuses on macroeconomics, energy economics, and economic development.
