Biographical Details

Edmund J. Sadgrove is currently exploring the use of artificial neural based machine learning methods, including colour feature extreme learning and support vector machines. This includes novel approaches for the detection of objects in crops and pastural landscapes. His research interests include data structures, data mining, artificial intelligence and computer vision based algorithms for robotics based systems. His focus is primarily on machine learning solutions in agriculture. He completed his PhD as part of the precision agriculture research group and is currently working on solutions in this area. Prior to receiving his degree and doctorate at the University of New England, Edmund completed an apprenticeship in an electronics trade as a service engineer.
