Biographical Details

Dr. Cassandra Sundaraja is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. Cassandra initially completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology, and then a Masters of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology (two-year fellowship programme) from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in India. Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist, Cassandra ran a private practice in India for several years, before relocating to Australia in 2018. She also had experience as a guest lecturer at Universities in India. She completed her PhD in Psychology from UNE in 2021. Cassandra is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Cassandra is interested in supervising research topics relating to mental health, climate change and intimate partner relationships. More specifically, she is keen to supervise projects relating to eco-anxiety or eco-grief, biophilia (love and connection to the natural world), companion animals and mental health, as well as factors influencing healthy intimate partner relationships and intimate partner violence. Additionally, she is also interested in research on psychotherapy, adult attachment, and interpersonal neurobiology.
