Dr Andrew Clark is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New England’s Applied Agricultural Remote Sensing Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Geographical Sciences, 2006), Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management (2009) and PhD (2023) from the University of Queensland. Andy has more than 20 years’ experience across government, private-sector and academic organisations in Earth observation, satellite image analysis and operational land mapping. His research applies satellite time-series analysis and deep learning to land-use and land-cover mapping. His recent work includes sweet potato mapping, broader commodity classification, tree-crop planting-year estimation and yield forecasting, supporting practical, repeatable spatial information products for Australian agriculture.
