Biographical Details
Prof Lykins' primary research interests are in the following areas: climate change, natural hazards, and mental health (including the development of preparation and resilience-building interventions for at-risk communities and populations); pro-environmental behaviour changes and decision-making associated with both water use and diet; adoption of alternative food systems and agricultural practices; human-animal interactions (including promoting welfare for both wildlife and domesticated species, and grief following companion animal death); and the environmental, health, and moral issues related to meat eating and associated intensive farming practices.
