Biographical Details

Dr Ali Soltani (PhD, MURP, BEng, GD) with diverse background education in surveying and spatial engineering, urban and regional planning, higher education, data science, and business administration, is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Urban/Regional researcher whose work spans city analytics, transportation, vulnerable road users, environmental systems, and urban/regional GIS applications. His research focuses on data-driven analytics and AI-enabled decision frameworks for sustainable mobility and resilient cities. He is currently an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW Sydney, and a casual lecturer with Flinders University. A recipient of multiple international fellowships, such as European Marie Curie Senior Fellow and Australian Endeavour Fellow, he combines innovative methodologies with a commitment to sustainable development and real-world impact.
