Organisation profile

Research in Zoology at the University of New England is dedicated to understanding the diversity, biology and ecology of wildlife, spanning model systems from molecules to ecosystems. Our researchers investigate how animal’s function, interact and evolve across diverse landscapes. We integrate broad disciplines including behavioural ecology, physiology and conservation to lead fields in applied zoology and natural history. By combining field-based experimentation with cutting-edge laboratory and modelling approaches, we link behaviour, energetics and evolutionary history to the realities of environmental change. Together, UNE zoologists unite fundamental discovery with applied solutions to address biodiversity conservation, climate resilience and sustainable wildlife management. Visit our UNE webpage
